The Little Dolphin's Wish - Author : Ebru Mina TOMURCUK
Deep down in the warm blue sea, where sunlight danced on the waves, lived a little dolphin named Dina. Her skin was smooth and silver-blue, and her belly was as pale as cream. She had big, round dark eyes that sparkled with curiosity, and a friendly smile that curved up like a crescent moon. Dina loved to swim and play, but most of all, she loved to dream. 1
Every night, Dina would swim to the surface and peek above the waves. She saw the dark sky, but the clouds hid the stars. 'I wish I could see the stars,' she sighed. 'I wish I could dance among them.' Her friend Pip, a small grey dolphin with bright amber eyes, splashed beside her. 'The stars are just tiny lights, Dina,' he said. 'But they are beautiful,' Dina replied. 2
Dina asked Nana Coral, the wise elder dolphin, about the stars. Nana Coral wore a necklace of tiny polished shells and had kind, crinkly eyes. 'The stars are dreams, little one,' she said. 'They shine for those who believe.' Dina's eyes grew wide. 'How can I see them?' she asked. Nana Coral smiled. 'Believe in your dream, and maybe magic will find you.' 3
That night, Dina floated near the surface, watching the clouds drift by. Suddenly, a shimmer of light caught her eye. A tiny fish, no bigger than her flipper, darted out of the waves. His scales were iridescent turquoise and violet, and his fins flowed like ribbons. His golden eyes glowed, and a trail of sparkling stardust followed him. 'Hello, Dina,' he said. 'I am Finn. I heard your wish.' 4
Dina gasped. 'You can hear wishes?' Finn nodded, his fins fluttering. 'I am a flying fish, and I can take you to the stars. But you must hold on tight and believe.' Dina's heart raced with excitement. 'I believe!' she cried. Finn smiled. 'Then climb on my back, and let's go!' Dina carefully held onto Finn's ribbon-like fins, and they shot up through the waves. 5
Up and up they soared, leaving the dark sea below. The water rushed past them, and then they burst through the surface into the cool night air. Dina had never been above the waves before. She saw the clouds getting closer, and her eyes opened wide. 'Hold on!' Finn called. 'We're going through the clouds!' Dina held on tight as they flew into the fluffy white mist. 6
They emerged above the clouds, and Dina gasped. The night sky stretched out before her, a huge dark blanket filled with twinkling stars. They sparkled like tiny diamonds, and some seemed to twirl and dance. 'Oh, Finn!' Dina whispered. 'It's more beautiful than I ever imagined!' Finn's stardust trail mixed with the starlight, and Dina felt like she was part of the sky. 7
Finn flew higher, and Dina saw the stars up close. They were not just tiny lights; they were glowing balls of fire, some blue, some white, some golden. 'Can I dance with them?' Dina asked. 'Of course,' Finn said. 'Just move with the starlight.' Dina wiggled and twirled, and the stars seemed to twinkle in time with her movements. She laughed with joy as she danced among them. 8
As Dina danced, she noticed a group of stars that formed a shape like a dolphin. 'Look, Finn!' she cried. 'That constellation looks like me!' Finn nodded. 'The stars reflect your dreams,' he said. 'And now your dream is shining for everyone to see.' Dina felt a warm glow inside. She made a special wish: to share this wonder with her friends and to always believe in her dreams. 9
After her dance, Dina floated beside Finn, gazing at the sky. 'I wish my friends could see this,' she said softly. Finn smiled. 'Your wish is already coming true,' he said. 'Because you believed, you can bring the starlight back with you.' He flicked his tail, and a shower of stardust settled on Dina's silver-blue skin, making her shimmer like a star herself. 10
It was time to go home. Dina held onto Finn's fins once more, and they dove back through the clouds, down through the waves, and into the warm sea. When they reached the place where they had started, Finn's glow began to fade. 'Thank you, Finn,' Dina said. 'I will never forget this night.' Finn's golden eyes twinkled. 'Remember, Dina, dreams inspire big ideas. Keep believing.' Then he vanished in a puff of stardust. 11
Dina swam home, her heart full of joy. The next morning, she found Pip and Nana Coral. 'You're sparkling!' Pip squeaked. Dina told them everything about Finn and the stars. Pip's amber eyes grew wide. 'I want to fly too!' he said. Nana Coral smiled wisely. 'Dina believed, and her dream came true. That is the power of believing in yourself.' 12
Dina spent the day sharing her adventure with all her friends. She told them about the twinkling stars and the dance in the sky. 'Dreams can inspire big ideas,' she said. 'And if you believe, amazing things can happen.' The other dolphins listened, their eyes shining with wonder. Pip splashed excitedly. 'I'm going to dream of flying fish tonight!' he declared. 13
That evening, Dina swam to the surface again. The clouds had cleared, and the stars were visible from the sea. She saw the dolphin constellation and smiled. 'Thank you, Finn,' she whispered. She knew that even though she was back in the sea, the stars would always be with her in her heart. And she knew that dreams were the most wonderful things of all.
