Mira is a curious girl with warm light brown skin, wavy black hair and soft yellow pajamas covered in tiny stars. Every night she snuggles under her blanket and wonders where her dreams will take her. One night she floats into a world of glowing light and lands on a path made of sparkles, where a small fox named Fenn is waiting for her. Fenn lives in the land of dreams, wears a frayed blue scarf decorated with silver moons, and every night helps children find wonderful adventures. Tonight, however, something is wrong with the dream bridge, and he asks Mira to come with him.
Together they walk through a forest of cotton-candy clouds and twinkling stars until they reach a wide gap where the silver bridge has broken in the middle. Fenn's tail droops and he admits he feels worried and scared. Mira sits beside him and shares that she feels scared too sometimes, especially at night when the room is dark, and that taking a deep breath and thinking of happy things helps her. They follow a trail of glowing sparkles to gather the scattered pieces of the bridge, but the pieces will not fit until the two of them hold them together and think kind thoughts about each other.
The story follows a gentle, unhurried arc in which the real repair is not the bridge but the way Mira and Fenn talk about their feelings and rely on one another. Children who sometimes feel frightened in the dark will recognise Fenn's worry and Mira's practical comfort, and the tale offers a simple model of naming a feeling, listening to a friend and working as a team. It is suited to young readers and to adults reading aloud at bedtime, and it closes with the idea that kindness and understanding can carry you across any bridge.

A Chapter from the Book
The Girl and the Dream Fox - Author : Ebru Mina TOMURCUK
Mira was a curious girl with warm light brown skin and wavy black hair that curled at her shoulders. She wore soft yellow pajamas covered in tiny stars and fluffy red slippers on her feet. Every night, she loved to snuggle under her blanket and wonder where her dreams would take her. One night, she closed her eyes and began to float into a world of soft, glowing light. 1
In her dream, Mira landed on a path made of sparkles. Everything around her shimmered like moonlit water. A little fox stood before her, no taller than her waist. His fur was soft orange with a white chest and a glowing blue shimmer. He wore a small blue scarf with silver moons, frayed at the edges. "Hello," the fox said, his big amber eyes blinking. "I'm Fenn." 2
Fenn wagged his fluffy white-tipped tail and smiled. "I live here in the land of dreams," he said. "Every night, I help children find wonderful adventures." Mira clapped her hands. "That sounds amazing!" she said. "What kind of adventures?" Fenn's ears perked up. "All kinds," he said. "But tonight, I need your help. Something is wrong with the dream bridge. Will you come with me?" 3
Fenn led Mira through a forest of cotton-candy clouds and twinkling stars. They walked until they reached a wide gap in the dream path. A bridge of silver light stretched across, but in the middle, it was broken. Pieces of the bridge floated in the air, shimmering sadly. "Oh no," Mira whispered. "How will anyone cross?" Fenn's tail drooped. "I don't know," he said softly. 4
Fenn sat down and wrapped his tail around his paws. His amber eyes looked sad and scared. "I feel worried," he said. "If the bridge is broken, children might get lost in their dreams. I don't want that to happen." Mira sat beside him. "It's okay to feel scared," she said. "I feel scared sometimes too. But we can fix it together." 5
Fenn looked up at Mira. "You do?" he asked. Mira nodded. "Sometimes I feel scared at night when the room is dark," she said. "But then I remember to take a deep breath and think of happy things." Fenn's ears lifted a little. "That helps," he said. "Thank you for listening." Mira smiled. "And thank you for sharing," she said. They both felt a little lighter. 6
Mira stood up and looked at the broken bridge. "Let's see what we can do," she said. "We need to find the missing pieces." Fenn jumped up. "I know where they might be!" he said. "The dream wind sometimes blows things around. Let's follow the sparkles." They followed a trail of tiny glowing dots that twinkled like fireflies in the soft light. 7
The trail led to a bush of moonflowers that held a piece of the bridge. "Here's one!" Fenn barked happily. They carefully pulled it out. Then they found another piece stuck in a cloud. "We're good at this!" Mira laughed. They gathered all the pieces and carried them back to the gap. "Now we need to put them together," Mira said. "But how?" 8
Fenn studied the pieces. "The bridge is made of light," he said. "We need to think kind thoughts to make it shine." Mira nodded. "Let's try," she said. They each held a piece and thought of something kind. Fenn thought of all the happy children he had helped. Mira thought of her family and friends. The pieces began to glow softly. 9
But when they tried to fit the pieces together, they didn't quite match. A gap remained in the middle. Fenn's tail drooped again. "It's not working," he said. "Maybe I'm not strong enough." Mira shook her head. "You are strong," she said. "We just need to work together. Let's try holding the pieces at the same time and thinking of something extra kind." 10
Fenn took a deep breath. "Okay," he said. "I'll think of how brave you are, Mira. You came all this way to help me." Mira smiled. "And I'll think of how kind you are, Fenn. You care so much about the children." They held the pieces together and thought of each other. A warm light spread from their paws and wrapped around the bridge. 11
The pieces clicked into place and the bridge glowed brightly. It was fixed! Fenn jumped up and down. "We did it!" he cheered. Mira laughed. "We did it together," she said. "And we used kind words and teamwork." Fenn's amber eyes sparkled. "I feel brave now," he said. "Me too," Mira agreed. They stood side by side, looking at the beautiful bridge. 12
Fenn led Mira across the bridge. It felt warm and safe under her red slippers. On the other side, the dream world was even more beautiful. Stars danced and flowers sang. "You can cross any bridge when you understand feelings," Fenn said. "Your courage comes from listening and sharing." Mira nodded. She felt strong and happy. "I'll remember that," she said. 13
Fenn gave Mira a gentle nuzzle. "Thank you for helping me," he said. "You're a true friend." Mira hugged him. "I'll never forget you, Fenn," she said. "And I'll always remember to share my feelings." Fenn's blue scarf shimmered. "Come back and visit me anytime," he said.
