In the heart of the green woods, a clever fox with rust-orange fur and round wire-rim glasses builds a small, cozy library tucked between two oak trees. He calls it the Rainbow Library because every book on its shelves glows with a different color of the rainbow, and he has spent all spring gathering stories from near and far. Each color, he explains, holds a different kind of story: red books glow like ripe berries and carry brave journeys, blue books twinkle like deep ponds and hold mysteries, and yellow books sparkle like sunshine and are full of jokes and giggles.
One by one his friends arrive. A young rabbit in a sky-blue scarf rushes to the red adventures, an owl in a plum-purple vest with a tiny magnifying glass follows the blue mysteries, and a freckled squirrel in a sunny yellow vest hunts for something funny. When the rabbit finishes her pirate tale and asks about the softly glowing green books, the fox reveals the library's deeper magic: when a reader opens a book with an open heart, its glow shifts and swirls into another color, showing that every story holds a bit of everything. A green nature book turns purple, a purple mystery becomes orange, and an orange tale turns pink, sending the friends laughing and swapping books together all afternoon.
The story is a gentle celebration of curiosity, reading and shared discovery, showing young readers that stories can surprise us and that trying something new often leads to the best kind of magic. It suits children just beginning to explore books on their own, as well as parents and teachers looking for a warm read-aloud about friendship and the joy of imagination.

A Chapter from the Book
The Fox's Rainbow Library - Author : Ebru Mina TOMURCUK
In the heart of the green woods, where sunbeams danced through leaves, a clever fox with bright rust-orange fur and a white-tipped tail built something wonderful. It was a library, small and cozy, tucked between two oak trees. The fox wore round wire-rim glasses and a deep teal apron with a golden book emblem. He called it the Rainbow Library, for every book on its shelves glowed with a different color of the rainbow. 1
The fox had worked all spring to gather stories from near and far. Each book shimmered with magic: red books glowed like ripe berries, blue books twinkled like deep ponds, and yellow books sparkled like sunshine. The fox smiled as he placed the last book on a shelf. 'Every color holds a different kind of story,' he whispered. 'And every story is a door to imagination.' He couldn't wait for his friends to arrive. 2
Word spread quickly through the woods. A young rabbit with soft cream fur and a sky-blue scarf hopped up first, her tiny canvas satchel bouncing. 'A library? With glowing books?' she squealed. 'I want to read them all!' The fox welcomed her with a warm smile. 'Come in, come in,' he said. 'The books are eager to meet you.' The rabbit's round eyes grew wide at the sight of so many colors. 3
The rabbit dashed straight to the red books. 'Adventures!' she cried, pulling one from the shelf. The book glowed bright as a cherry, and when she opened it, the pages rustled like wind through sails. 'I'm sailing on a pirate ship!' she shouted. The fox chuckled. 'Red books are full of brave journeys and daring deeds,' he said. The rabbit settled into a cozy corner, her nose twitching with excitement. 4
Next came an owl, round and soft, with huge golden eyes and a plum-purple knitted vest. A tiny magnifying glass hung from a silver chain around her neck. 'I do love a good puzzle,' she said, adjusting her spectacles. She drifted toward the blue books, which glowed like twilight. 'Mysteries,' the fox nodded. 'Blue books are full of secrets and clues.' The owl chose one and began to read slowly, her feathery brow furrowed in thought. 5
Then a squirrel bounced in, his big fluffy tail swishing and his sunny yellow vest bright as a lemon. 'I want something funny!' he giggled, his freckled cheeks round with joy. He grabbed a yellow book from the shelf, and it sparkled like captured sunshine. 'Yellow books are full of jokes and giggles,' the fox said. The squirrel plopped onto a cushion and started to read, snorting with laughter at every page. 6
The rabbit finished her red adventure book with a happy sigh. 'That was amazing! But now I want to try something new.' She looked around the library and noticed a book glowing softly green. 'What are green books?' she asked. The fox's amber eyes twinkled. 'Green books are about nature and the world around us,' he said. 'Would you like to read one?' The rabbit nodded eagerly. 7
As the rabbit opened the green book, something magical happened. The book's glow shifted and swirled, turning from green to a soft purple. 'Look!' the rabbit gasped. 'It's changing colors!' The fox explained, 'When you read with an open heart, the books share new stories with you. They change colors to show you a new kind of tale.' The rabbit's ears stood straight up in wonder. 8
The owl looked up from her blue mystery. 'Fascinating,' she hooted. 'May I try?' She picked up a purple book, and as she read, it shimmered into orange. 'This one is about a brave little mouse who solves a riddle in a pumpkin patch,' she said. 'It's a mystery and an adventure all at once!' The squirrel bounced over. 'Let me see! Let me see!' he chattered. 9
The squirrel grabbed a book that glowed orange, but as he read, it turned pink. 'Ha! This story is about a dancing bear who wears pink socks!' He laughed so hard he nearly fell off his cushion. The rabbit giggled too. 'Read it out loud!' she begged. Soon all the friends were gathered around, sharing the silly story and laughing together. The fox watched from his desk, his heart warm. 10
The books sparkled and changed colors all afternoon. The rabbit read a red adventure that turned yellow with funny parts. The owl read a blue mystery that became green when it described a hidden forest. The squirrel read a yellow joke book that turned blue with a surprising puzzle. 'Every story has a bit of everything!' the rabbit exclaimed. The fox nodded. 'That's the magic of imagination.' 11
The friends decided to swap books. The owl passed her purple mystery to the rabbit, and the rabbit gave her red adventure to the squirrel. The squirrel handed his yellow funny tale to the owl. As they read each other's stories, the books glowed brighter than ever, swirling with all the colors of the rainbow. 'Sharing makes the stories even better!' the squirrel cheered. 12
The fox stepped forward, his teal apron rustling. 'You've discovered the secret of the Rainbow Library,' he said. 'Stories are not just one color. When friends share them, they become every color at once.' He pointed to a bookshelf where a single book now glowed with all the colors, shifting and dancing.
