In a cozy village nestled between gentle hills lives Felix, a clever fox and the best clockmaker around. His workshop is full of ticking clocks, and he wears a brown leather apron, round glasses, and a red neckerchief. Felix is especially proud of the festival clock, with its golden hands and cheerful chime, which he has polished until it shines. When he opens the window to test the chime, the clock suddenly springs to life, whizzes through the air, and flies out over the treetops, leaving Felix worried and sad on his stool.
Just outside the workshop, a young squirrel named Squeaky, with russet-brown fur, a green knitted scarf, and a small canvas satchel, sees the whole thing. She scurries down to comfort Felix and offers to help find the clock. Quick and observant, she climbs the tallest tree, spots something shiny in a maple, and carefully frees the clock, tucking it into her satchel and climbing down safely despite a gust of wind. But the fall has bent the hands and silenced the chime, and the festival is about to begin.
Squeaky reminds Felix that mistakes happen and that he can fix it, and Felix takes responsibility, returning to his workshop to straighten the hands and replace a tiny gear while Squeaky hands him tools. The story follows their friendship and teamwork, showing young readers that carelessness can be corrected with effort and that asking for and accepting help is a strength. It is a gentle tale for children about responsibility, honesty, and repairing what goes wrong.

The Fox's Flying Clock - Author : Ebru Mina TOMURCUK
In a cozy village nestled between gentle hills, there lived a clever fox named Felix. Felix was the best clockmaker around, and his workshop was filled with ticking clocks of all shapes and sizes. He wore a brown leather apron and round glasses that perched on his nose. His bushy tail swished happily as he worked, and his amber eyes sparkled with pride. 1
Felix was especially proud of one special clock: the festival clock, with golden hands and a cheerful chime. It was almost finished, and tomorrow the whole village would gather to celebrate. Felix polished it until it shone like the sun. "This clock will make everyone smile," he said, adjusting his red neckerchief. His white-tipped tail wagged with excitement. 2
Just outside the workshop, a young squirrel named Squeaky lived in a tall oak tree. Squeaky had russet-brown fur, a cream belly, and a fluffy curled tail. She wore a green knitted scarf and carried a small canvas satchel. Squeaky loved to watch Felix work, and she often helped by fetching tiny gears. "Good morning, Felix!" she chirped, her dark eyes bright. 3
Felix wanted to test the clock's chime, so he opened the workshop window wide. He wound the key carefully, but suddenly the clock sprang to life! It whizzed and zoomed, spun in the air, and flew right out the window. "Oh no!" cried Felix, reaching out, but it was too late. The clock soared high into the sky, its golden hands glinting. 4
Felix watched in horror as the clock disappeared over the treetops. His ears drooped, and his bushy tail hung low. "The festival clock! What will I do?" he whispered. He felt worried and sad, and a tear rolled down his cheek. The festival was about to start, and everyone needed the clock. Felix sat down on his stool and put his head in his paws. 5
Squeaky saw the whole thing from her tree. She scurried down and patted Felix's paw. "Don't worry, Felix! I'll help you find it," she said cheerfully. Her fluffy tail twitched with determination. Felix looked up, his amber eyes hopeful. "Really? But it could be anywhere!" Squeaky smiled. "I'm quick and I'm observant. Let's go!" 6
Squeaky dashed off, her green scarf fluttering behind her. She climbed the tallest tree and scanned the sky. Then she spotted something shiny high in a maple tree. "There it is!" she called. The clock was stuck in the branches, its hands still ticking. Squeaky climbed higher and higher, her little paws gripping the bark. Felix watched from below, his heart pounding. 7
Squeaky reached the clock and gently freed it from the branches. But it was heavy! She tucked it into her satchel and started to climb down. Suddenly, a gust of wind blew, and she wobbled. "Hold on, Squeaky!" shouted Felix. She held tight and slowly, carefully, made her way down. Finally, she landed safely on the ground, the clock safe in her satchel. 8
Felix rushed over and hugged Squeaky. "You found it! Thank you, thank you!" he cried. But then he looked at the clock and his smile faded. The fall had bent the hands, and the chime was silent. "It's broken," Felix said sadly. "And the festival is about to start. I made a mistake, and now everyone will be disappointed." 9
Squeaky put a paw on his shoulder. "Mistakes happen, Felix. But you can fix it! You're the best clockmaker in the village." Felix looked at the clock, then at Squeaky. He took a deep breath. "You're right. I need to take responsibility and make it right. Let's go back to the workshop quickly!" 10
Back in the workshop, Felix set to work. He carefully straightened the hands and replaced a tiny gear. His round glasses slipped down his nose as he concentrated. Squeaky handed him tools from his tool belt. "You can do it, Felix!" she encouraged. Felix's tail wagged as he worked, and soon the clock began to tick again. 11
Felix tested the chime, and it rang out clear and bright. "It works!" he cheered. He turned to Squeaky. "I'm so sorry for being careless. I should have been more responsible. Thank you for helping me and for reminding me that mistakes can be fixed." Squeaky beamed. "That's what friends are for!" she said, adjusting her green scarf. 12
With the clock fixed, Felix and Squeaky hurried to the festival. The villagers were gathering, and the band was warming up. Felix placed the clock on its special stand, and it chimed beautifully. Everyone cheered! "Hooray for Felix and Squeaky!" they shouted. Felix smiled and promised to be more careful next time. The festival began with happy music and laughter. 13
Felix and Squeaky danced together, their tails swishing in time with the music. The village was filled with joy, and the festival clock kept perfect time. Felix felt warm inside. He had learned that mistakes happen, but taking responsibility makes things right. And having a helpful friend like Squeaky made everything better. 14
From that day on, Felix was more careful in his workshop. He always checked the windows before testing a clock. Squeaky often visited, and they became the best of friends. Felix even made a tiny clock for Squeaky's satchel. "For you," he said.
