The Fox's Crystal Bicycle - Author : Ebru Mina TOMURCUK

In the heart of the green forest, where sunlight danced through the leaves, a young fox named Rusty lived in a cozy den. Rusty had bright russet-orange fur, a white chest, and a soft green scarf tied loosely around his neck. His big amber eyes sparkled with curiosity, and his bushy tail with a white tip swished with excitement. Every day, Rusty loved to explore the woods and discover new things. 1

One sunny morning, Rusty followed a sparkling path he had never seen before. It led to a small clearing where something wonderful stood in the middle of the grass. There, shining in the sunlight, was a bicycle made entirely of crystal! It glittered and gleamed, sending tiny rainbows dancing across the ground. Rusty's eyes grew wide with wonder. "Oh my," he whispered, "what a beautiful crystal bicycle!" 2

Rusty stepped closer to the crystal bicycle. It looked so delicate, like a spider's web or a frozen dewdrop. He could see right through the wheels and the frame. "I wonder if I can ride it," he thought. He reached out a delicate paw and gently touched the handlebar. It felt smooth and cool, and it chimed softly under his touch. The crystal bicycle was truly the most amazing thing Rusty had ever found. 3

Rusty carefully climbed onto the crystal bicycle. The seat was hard and slippery under him. He placed his paws on the handlebars and pushed off. But the bicycle wobbled and creaked! The crystal frame made a tinkling, cracking sound. Rusty gasped and quickly put his feet down. "Oh no," he said, "this bicycle is very fragile. I must be careful." His heart beat fast, and he held his breath. 4

Just then, a kind badger came walking by. He had grey fur, a black-and-white striped face, and small dark eyes behind his black mask. He wore a brown work apron with deep pockets full of tools and soft cloth pads. "Hello there," said the badger in a calm, gentle voice. "My name is Barnaby. I see you've found the crystal bicycle. It's beautiful, but it needs special care." 5

Rusty nodded. "I tried to ride it, but it wobbled and creaked. I'm afraid I might break it." Barnaby smiled kindly. "You're right to be careful," he said. "Crystal is fragile. But I think I can help. I have some soft pads and straps in my apron. We can make supports to hold the crystal parts safely." Rusty's ears perked up with hope. 6

Barnaby pulled out a soft cloth pad and some straps from his apron. "First, we need to support the wheels," he said. He gently wrapped the pads around the delicate crystal spokes and fastened them with straps. Rusty watched closely, learning how to handle the fragile parts with care. "You see," said Barnaby, "we must be gentle and patient." Rusty nodded and helped hold the pads in place. 7

Next, they worked on the frame. Barnaby showed Rusty how to cushion the crystal tubes with soft padding. "These supports will keep the crystal from rattling," Barnaby explained. "They will absorb the bumps and keep the bicycle steady." Rusty carefully tied a strap around the handlebars. The crystal bicycle began to look safer and sturdier. Rusty felt a warm glow of happiness. 8

When they finished, the crystal bicycle stood proudly in the clearing, wrapped in soft supports like a cozy blanket. "Now try riding it," said Barnaby. "But remember, go slowly and gently." Rusty climbed on again. This time, the bicycle didn't wobble or creak. It rolled smoothly and quietly. Rusty rode in a small circle, and a big smile spread across his face. "I'm riding!" he cheered. 9

Barnaby clapped his strong paws. "Well done! You see, fragile things need care, but with the right supports, they can be enjoyed." Rusty rode around the clearing, feeling the gentle breeze in his fur. The crystal bicycle sparkled in the sunlight, and Rusty felt proud and happy. He knew he would always take good care of this special bicycle. And he was glad to have such a kind friend. 10

From that day on, Rusty and Barnaby took good care of the crystal bicycle together. They checked the soft supports before every ride and cleaned the crystal parts gently. They learned that fragile things require care and gentle handling. And they discovered that helping each other made everything better. The crystal bicycle became their shared treasure, and their friendship grew stronger. 11

On sunny days, Rusty and Barnaby would ride through the forest. Rusty would pedal slowly and carefully, while Barnaby walked alongside, watching for any bumps. They would visit the stream, the meadow, and the old oak tree. The crystal bicycle sparkled as it rolled along, leaving a trail of tiny rainbows. Other animals would stop and stare in wonder. "What a beautiful bicycle!" they would say. 12

Rusty learned that fragile things are not just for looking at. With care and the right supports, they can be enjoyed. He also learned that friends help each other and that it's okay to ask for help when something is delicate. Barnaby was always there to lend a paw, and Rusty was always careful and gentle. Together, they made a great team. 13

One afternoon, as the sun began to set, Rusty and Barnaby sat beside the crystal bicycle. "Thank you for helping me," said Rusty. "I couldn't have ridden it without your supports." Barnaby smiled. "You learned quickly," he said. "Fragile things need care, and you have a gentle heart." They watched the sunset together, feeling happy and content. The crystal bicycle gleamed softly in the fading light.
